Exclusive: Baring PE India revives venture-stage deals after nearly a decade

Baring Private Equity Partners India Ltd (Baring PE India), which had stopped making fresh investments three years ago, has recently returned with a venture-style investment in an Internet startup, a person privy to the development told VCCircle. The Rahul Bhasin-led entity, one of the oldest PE firms in the country, had last made a venture-stage investment in a diagnostics and contract research startup, ReaMetrix Inc, in 2007. It made fresh investments in the company two years later.
